New Governor Of Edinburgh Castle Appointed

Major General Alastair Bruce.

The new Governor of Edinburgh Castle has officially taken up his new role.

Major General Alastair Bruce has taken over the position from the outgoing Major General Mike Riddell-Webster.  

Former Scots Guard Major General Bruce has served in the Falklands, Northern Ireland and Operation Telic in Iraq.

The role sees him assume the centuries-old role from Major General Riddell-Webster, who has been in the post since October 2015.

Forces Radio BFBS' Mark McKenzie spoke to Major General Bruce about his new position.
