Paris Soldier Attacked By Knife-Wielding Man
A knife-wielding man has attempted to attack a Parisian soldier in a major subway interchange in Paris.
The man was, however, quickly arrested and no one was injured.
Police spokeswoman Johana Primevert told The Associated Press that the incident took place early this morning in Chatelet Station.
However normal service quickly resumed at the station, which serves multiple subway and commuter train lines.
The soldier attacked was a part of the Sentinelle force assigned to protecting parts of Paris since the recent terrorist attacks that the city has faced.
It is not the first time that the force has been targeted.
The attack follows an announcement that the government will be making some changes to the force, with a focus on temporary and seasonal events.
