RAF Typhoons deploy to Poland for exercises with Nato allies

Four RAF Typhoons have deployed to Poland to carry out joint training exercises with allied aircraft from Poland, Spain and Italy.
The deployment will enable Royal Air Force pilots to train in dogfighting scenarios against different aircraft and develop tactics to exploit their weaknesses.
The fast jets will stay in Poland for two weeks, where they will engage targets beyond visual range, supported by more than 50 RAF personnel.
Making the announcement at the Conservative Party conference in Manchester on Sunday, Defence Secretary Grant Shapps said: "RAF Typhoons are landing in Poland as I speak to support our Nato ally with the greater threat of Russian interference."
Defence Minister James Heappey will visit RAF personnel in Poland, as well as troops operating the Sky Sabre surface-to-air missile system, reinforcing Polish air defences close to its Ukraine border.
Hundreds of UK troops are in the country as part of the Nato commitment under Operation Cabrit.
It comes ahead of UK ministers attending the Warsaw Security Forum this week.
