Royal Signals Celebrates Centenary By Planting 100 Trees
The Royal Signals has marked its centenary year by planting 100 trees near Bulford Camp on Salisbury Plain, Wiltshire.
Soldiers from 3 and 15 Signals Regiment planted the trees last week to coincide with National Tree Week.
Lieutenant Colonel Matt Bosworth, Commanding Officer of 15 Signal Regiment, said another 15 larger trees were also planted to represent the Regiment.
Lt Col Bosworth said: "We thought it was quite nice to establish first our footprint here with these 15 trees, but also leave a legacy as part of the 100-year celebration."

The trees were planted at Double Hedges, near Bulford Camp, in a large field open to the general public.
Warrant Officer 1 Kerry Mills said the trees were planted for both the military personnel and general public to "take full advantage" and enjoy in "their recreational time".
She also explained "a lot of trees" had been cut down in the area due to ash dieback disease, but "for every tree that’s cut down, [they’re] planning on planting two".
The majority of events to mark the Signals' anniversary have been cancelled due to the coronavirus.
