Search For 'Kind Gentleman' Who Paid RAF Personnel's Bill

An appeal has been made to locate a "very kind gentleman" who paid for the pub lunch of RAF personnel.

Sarah Walker made the appeal via the pub's Facebook page, where she said she wanted to thank the man for the gesture following a meal in the Red Lion in Odiham in Hampshire:

"I was with my husband and friend both in the RAF and he had clearly overheard us talking about their jobs, and after he left the waitress brought our paid receipt to us explaining the man had paid with a note on the top of the receipt thanking my husband and friend for serving in the military.

"We were overwhelmed with this gentleman’s gesture and would like to think he may see this post to say that we are so grateful for his kindness and generosity," she wrote.
