United Services Footballers Miss Out On FA Vase Wembley Final

The United Services Portsmouth footballers have missed out on the FA Vase final at Wembley, after losing a penalty shootout in their semi-final with Binfield.

They had the first half lead through James Franklin but missed chances to increase their advantage.

Despite surviving some sustained pressure from Binfield, United Services conceded an equaliser with 15 minutes left, before the match finished 1-1.

In penalties, United Services had a brief advantage before Cameron Quirke and Jack Chandler missed two spot kicks.

Binfield's Jack Broome slotted home his penalty to send them to Wembley, 4-3.

It ended United Services Portsmouth's best-ever run in the FA Vase, missing out on the Wembley final in a fortnight's time.
