US F-35 Jet Crashes At Air Force Base In Florida

A US Air Force fighter jet has crashed upon landing at a base in Florida.
In a statement, Eglin Air Force Base said the pilot of the F-35A Lightning II "successfully ejected" from the aircraft and is now being monitored by medics.
The pilot, who has not been named, is said to be in a "stable condition".
The incident happened at 21:30 local time on Tuesday during a "routine night training sortie", the statement added.
Eglin Air Force Base also said the accident is currently under investigation and that there was "no loss of life or damage to civilian property".
It comes only days after an F-22 jet crashed near the same base.
