Veterans' radio play finds the funny side of losing a limb

Drawing on their own experiences, a group of veterans are rehearsing a radio play that aims to highlight the funny side of losing a limb and life in a military hospital.

The members of Blesma, the Military Charity for Limbless Veterans, hope to perform the comedy play on the radio and at festivals.

The radio drama is set on an amputee ward – and focuses on characters from all services recovering from limb loss, their loved ones, and the medical staff on the ward helping them through it.

Stand Easy Productions, a group that uses drama to help wounded, injured and sick veterans after their service, is working with the Blesma charity to produce the play.
