King Charles receives 'special farewell' from German air force Typhoon

King Charles received a "special farewell" from the German Air Forces to conclude his inaugural state visit.
As the King and his wife Camilla headed out of German airspace, a Typhoon jet with a saluting pilot at the controls kept them company.
The Royal Family Twitter account said: "Homeward bound. Thank you for the special farewell Team Luftwaffe!"
Earlier in the week, the King wore a Royal Engineers tie during a historic speech to Germany's Bundestag before meeting troops from the corps based in the country.
King Charles III was recently announced as Colonel-in-Chief of the Corps – a rank previously held by his mother, the late Queen – and wore the maroon and navy tie as he addressed Germany's parliament and also later on when meeting British personnel.
After speaking at the Bundestag, the King met soldiers from the German-British Amphibious Engineer Battalion 130 in Finowfurt, northeast of Berlin.
