Prince Charles: Ukraine conflict a 'stark reminder' of credible defence importance

The Prince of Wales has said the conflict in Ukraine "is a stark reminder that there is no substitute for credible defence".

Prince Charles was speaking to aviators and officers who were on parade after previously graduating from RAF Cranwell and RAF Halton during the COVID pandemic without guests.

He added: "The fighting in Ukraine has clearly demonstrated that despite the technological complexity of modern aerial warfare, having highly motivated and well-trained people remains critical to operational success."
