Afghanistan Inquest Hears of Fatal Canal Crash

An inquest has heard how an armoured Ridgeback vehicle was sent plunging into a canal after it collided with an Afghan National Police car.
 
Four British soldiers from the 1st Battalion The Mercian Regiment (Cheshire) were killed in the incident - Colour Sergeant Martyn Horton, from Runcorn, Lance Corporal David Ramsden, from Leeds, Private Douglas Halliday, from Wallasey, and Private Alex Isaac, from Wirral.
 
They were members of a police advisory team travelling as part of a two-vehicle convoy near Gereshk in Helmand province on June 23, 2010.
