Armoured Fleet Fine-Tuned in Mönchengladbach

A Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineer Unit in Germany is busy getting the Army vehicles ready for its new role.
 
Before a recent NATO exercise in Poland some of the British Challenger 2 tanks involved had been sitting in garages for eight years without their engines being switched on.
 
Now Three Close Support Battalion REME is halfway through a two-month mission to service 200 military vehicles that will be part of the Army’s new rapidly deployable Vanguard Force.
