Army takes charge of Joint Services Adventure Sail Training Centre

The British Army has taken over command of the Joint Services Adventure Sail Training Centre from the Royal Navy.

The centre can see up to 4,000 students from across the Armed Forces going through training on its 32 classes of yacht each year.

Speaking at an event to mark the change of command between the two services, Colonel Neil Wilson, Commander, Army Adventurous Training, said the Army has the "capacity and wherewithal" to run the centre.
