
British Army and US snipers train alongside Special Forces in California desert

British and American snipers have been sharpening their skills whilst on exercise in California.
Personnel from the First Fusilier snipers have been working alongside the US Army's 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division Raider Brigade.
The First Fusiliers said on X that Special Forces personnel were also part of the training at Fort Irwin.

"Strengthening our bonds and interoperability through world-class training," the post said, which featured images of snipers training.
Located in southern California, Fort Irwin National Training Center is the US Army's largest training centre and is so big that Salisbury Plain could fit inside it eight times.

They then move on to the skills module run by the Commando Training Centre, which is made up of four parts – mobile observation, static observation, map stance and stalking.
