Double Amputee Takes On Epic Swimming Challenge

A double amputee, who has been described as one of Britain’s most injured soldiers, has taken on a mile-long open water swim using just his arms.

Rick Clement lost his legs when a hidden bomb exploded while he was on patrol in Afghanistan in 2010.

The swim was to raise money for Rick's forces charity A Soldier's Journey.

He and his team took two hours to complete the Great Manchester Swim and were supported every inch of the way.
