Paras exercise freedom of Leeds

Soldiers from the 4th Battalion, Parachute Regiment, have exercised their freedom rights in Leeds by marching through the city's streets.

The men and women on parade were inspected by dignitaries, including the Lord Mayor of Leeds and the Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire.

After the event, Major James Dieppe, Officer Commanding B Coy, 4 PARA, said it was important for the local community to see the Army and understand its role in defence.
