Queen's guard injured after falling off horse in London

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment is put through its paces and passes its annual inspection 310322 CREDIT BFBS

A soldier from the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment has sustained injuries after falling from a horse in Central London.

The incident occurred on Wednesday morning, just a day before troopers from the regiment, made up of Life Guards and Blues and Royals, are set to participate in Trooping the Colour. 

An Army spokesperson said: "Unfortunately a soldier from The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, whilst riding back to Hyde Park Barracks after a parade this morning, has fallen off their horse and sustained injuries. The individual was treated at the scene by paramedics and no further information is available at this time."
