SAS Inquest Hears From Training Boss

The inquest into how three soldiers died while taking part in a gruelling SAS qualification test has been hearing evidence from the head of the men's training about what he thought caused the tragedy.

Reservists Corporal James Dunsby, Lance Corporal Edward Maher and Lance Corporal Craig Roberts lost their lives near the end a 16-mile march held in the Brecon Beacons on one of the hottest days of the year in July 2013.

The inquest has been told that there had been concerns about the amount of water available to those taking part, that electronic trackers carried by each candidate had failed to alert those running the course and that the reservists may not have had the same level of preparation as their regular counterparts.
