Soldier proudly wears medal awarded by French president during Trooping the Colour

A Coldstream Guards officer has worn a medal he was presented by the French president during the King's Birthday celebration.
Captain Tom Windsor-Clive received the Médaille de la Défense nationale earlier this year for the support he provided to France while on operations in the Middle East.
Tom was particularly commended for his work with international partners dealing with displaced persons and the refugee crisis in the region.
Speaking about being awarded the medal he said he was both "surprised" and "humbled".
"My main role in the Middle East was working with all the countries involved to ensure that we were all on the same path.
"This meant finding a solution to the problem of helping all the displaced people and refugees.
"It was great knowing that the UK, France and the combined forces involved in Operation Shader are working towards the same goal of making life better for people in the Middle East."

At Trooping the Colour, Captain Tom Windsor-Clive was in command of troops lining The Mall.
He played the same Sector Adjutant role during the King's coronation, which he said had been one of his career highlights – so far.
