Watch: British Army Warrior rescues fire engine stuck in the mud
A British Army Warrior armoured fighting vehicle was used to rescue a Lancashire Fire and Rescue fire engine after it got stuck in mud.
The First Fusiliers had been showing the public their Warrior at the Royal Lancashire Show, when heavy rain caused many vehicles to get stuck in the sodden ground.
The Army North West tweeted a video of the recovery, saying: "Who rescues the rescuers? The Army of course!"
In response, Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service tweeted: "Get your coat, you’ve pulled!
"Thanks for the assistance! #MatchMadeInHeaven."
The Warrior entered service with the British Army in 1988 and has been used on numerous operations including the Gulf War and Kosovo.
The Fusiliers will also be at the Blackpool Air Show on 12 and 13 August.
