Bear Grylls Leads Workout at HMS President

Adventurer and honorary Royal Marine Bear Grylls has put Royal Navy and Royal Marine reservists through their paces after challenging them to take part in his new high-intensity fitness programme.

In a break from the normal routine of weekly training nights, personnel at HMS President donned their sports kits and joined the television star for a series of fast-paced workouts.

Bear Grylls, an honorary Lieutenant Colonel, said:

“The Royal Marines are respected around the world for their fitness and ability to adapt and fight in every terrain. This is why hard physical training is at the heart of their endeavours."

HMS President, by Tower Bridge in London, is home to over 250 reserve officers and ratings that carry out naval training alongside, and in support of, their regular Royal Navy counterparts.
