Dozens Pay Respects At Funeral Of Veteran After Online Appeal

The family of a decorated war veteran have thanked well-wishers who answered an appeal to pay their respects at his funeral.
 
Veterans provided an escort as dozens of people turned out for the burial of Richard Boden in Manchester.
 
He passed away aged 90 in hospital on 7 January after a battle against cancer.
 
Mr Boden served with the Royal Navy delivering supplies to the Soviet Union during the Second World War.
 
The Arctic Convoys of World War Two saw military personnel travel 2,000 miles over dangerous waters in extreme weather conditions.
 
It was considered one of the most dangerous missions of the conflict.
