HMS Defender Returns Home

The Royal Navy destroyer HMS Defender has returned home after assisting American forces in missions against Islamic State militants in Iraq.
 
The Type 45 vessel has spent the past six months patrolling the Northern Arabian Gulf, on her maiden voyage, after being re-tasked to support US air strikes.
