HMS Anson arrives in Gibraltar

The Royal Navy's sole operational attack submarine has docked in Gibraltar.

HMS Anson had been deployed to Australia and had subsequently been retasked with operating near the Persian Gulf, reportedly near the Strait of Hormuz amid regional tensions.

She was last seen docked at HMAS Stirling on Garden Island close to Perth in February, where she was undergoing maintenance.
