Does The UK Need A New Maritime Patrol Aircraft?

Five years after Britain scrapped the Nimrod maritime surveillance aircraft, the issue of whether an island nation needs a plane to patrol its waters remains.
 
There have been new calls in the House of Lords for an immediate re-think of the decision ahead of the planned defence review.
