Two RAF pilots being treated for injuries after Hawk T2 crashed on training flight

Two RAF pilots are being treated for minor injuries after a Hawk T2 training jet crashed while operating out of RAF Valley in North Wales.

BFBS Forces News understands both pilots ejected and were located shortly after the incident, which occurred earlier on Wednesday.

Emergency services, including RAF responders, police, fire and rescue and an air ambulance, remain on the scene and the public are being asked to avoid the area.

There are no reports of any wider damage or injuries, North Wales police said.

An RAF spokesperson said: "An incident involving an RAF T2 Hawk aircraft, flying out of RAF Valley, occurred near Anglesey.

"An investigation is underway and we will not comment further at this time."

RAF Valley is home to the No. 4 Flying Training School where both RAF and Royal Navy pilots are taught to fly fast jets.
