Drawing 'The Mighty 456' Who Fell In Afghanistan
An artist has hand drawn all of the British military personnel who died in Afghanistan to honour and remember them.
Sam Bailey of The Regimental Art Co. is collecting the drawings in a book to raise money for the Royal British Legion.

Artist Bailey decided to undertake the project after being inspired by the Invictus Games.
Sam works alongside her partner Alex who was medically discharged from the British Army.

This inspired Sam to set up a buisness creating affordable military art which soon progressed into doing memorial and commemorative pieces including the 'Mighty 456' project.
Sam told Forces News:
"We both feel that we wanted to give something back. It's one of those things when you say 456 you struggle to understand the significance of what that means, but when you start drawing someone and put a face to the name all of a sudden it seems really real. That keeps me going when I'm drawing late into the night"
"The amount of support i've had from from the mums, the sisters and the whole families. You have to rememeber that every one of these people is someones loved one. It's not just those who were lost it was they lost with them, it's the families who have to carry on and that's why we've done this project."

An exhibition of all of the drawings on will start on the 9th September.
Sam and Alex are raising money to fund the publication of their book. You can support them at https://www.gofundme.com/Themighty456
