Police Investigate 'Suspicious Incident' At Aldershot
Hampshire Police and the Royal Military Police are investigating reports of a suspicious incident at Aldershot Garrison.
According to military sources in Aldershot, troops were briefed just after 8.15am on Wednesday morning about a suspected attempt to abduct a soldier, which apparently took place by the main Garrison Church.
Soldiers based at the Hampshire garrison are being told not to wear uniform to work, or to leave camp wearing uniform until further notice.

It follows reports of a suspected attempted abduction of a soldier by two men in a blue Renault Clio.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said in a statement:
"We were called to a suspicious incident at 8.42am today at the junction between Queens Avenue and Hospital Hill, Aldershot. Two men were seen acting suspiciously in a blue Renault Clio."
"At this stage there is nothing to suggest that a crime has been committed but we are looking into why the two men had stopped the car on this stretch of road.
"No contact was made between the two men and the person reporting the incident.
"Anyone who may have seen a blue Renault Clio with two men inside in the area this morning is asked to contact us on 101, quoting 44160289416."
Military personnel at barracks across the UK have been on high alert since the attempted kidnapping of a serviceman near RAF Marham in Norfolk on July 20th.
