Triple Amputee Marine Gets Plastered

Former Royal Marine and triple amputee Mark Ormrod has been covered in plaster live on Facebook.

Mark was having a mould created of his body to show his scars, to be used in a documentary he is creating.

It's also for a marble statue that's being made in the Shape of Mark's body.

Watch the amazing moment his entire body get submerged in plaster below:

On Christmas Eve 2007, whilst on patrol in Afghanistan, Mark Ormrod was injured by an IED - resulting in him becoming the UK's first triple amputee from the conflict.

Since recovering from his injuries he has become an award-winning author - with his autobiography 'Man Down' - and now travels the UK & the world sharing his story.

Mark was also one of the major figures behind promoting the 22 press-ups challenge.

Mark also releases videos showing how he overcomes the day-to-day occurrences most of us take for granted. He told Forces TV:
"I started it because I remember how many questions I had when I was first injured & there weren't many answers out there so I thought the more info I put out there the more people it could help who are perhaps facing adversity themselves. The thing with these videos is that I'm going to be honest, no false bravado. I'll just tell it how it is. I don't generally get embarrassed and I'm not ashamed to admit when I find things difficult."
