Army shooters selected for Great Britain's World Championships team

Two Army rifle and pistol shooters have been selected to represent Team GB at the 2022 International Shooting Sport Federation World Championships.

Sam Gowin will compete in the men's 25m rapid fire pistol event and the mixed events while Mike Bamsey, a National Collegiate Athletic Association champion, will compete in the men's 10m air rifle event.

The 2022 ISSF World Championships will take place in Cairo, Egypt, from 12-15 October.

Gowin previously won a bronze medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia and featured as a guest on a recent episode of the Forces Sport podcast.
