Army athletes dominate at Inter Services with men's and women's titles in Telford

The British Army won the men's and women's team titles at the 2025 Inter Services athletics championships in Telford.

A dominating display in the track and field saw the Army athletics fill podiums throughout the day and deservedly seal the team championships.

Other notable results included a superb performance in the pole vault from the Navy's Roberto Lopez. His 4.3m performance saw him take gold for the Senior Service.

Elsewhere, the RAF's Cameron Tindall has high hopes of competing at the Commonwealth Games, and he sprinted his way to victory in the 100m with a time of 10.7 seconds.

A veteran of these Inter Services returned to the track after two years sidelined with injury, and Danni Hodgkinson celebrated a win in the 5,000m.

The RAF women also won the 4x100m sprint relay race, with the Army winning the 4x400 event, but it was the Army's team dominance that took the headlines on the same day that they were victorious in the Inter Services tug of war championships at RAF Cosford.
