Chez Nihell, a former Inter Services champion, professional boxer and now Army head coach, said it was "absolutely heartbreaking", calling Hindmarch "a lovely big gentleman, warrior, a brother and Army Boxing team family".
Carnell Brown, another former leading heavyweight in Army boxing, wrote on Facebook that "he couldn't believe he was hearing such sad news" and described Hindmarch as "an amazing person".
Liam Alloway spent time as a coach honing Hindmarch's skill and paid tribute to him on Instagram.
He said: "Incredibly heartbreaking to hear the terrible news regarding the passing of Jack Hindmarch.
"Jack was part of the Army Boxing Team when I first started working with the team back in January 2022. He was also part of the same regiment as myself in the British Army – The Rifles.
"A fantastic boxer, two-time UKAF Heavyweight Champion and an excellent soldier, he was, more importantly, a wonderful human being who was so fondly thought of by everyone who knew him.
"For me personally, I always smiled/laughed when around Jack and just felt instantly better when in his company."
