
National amateur boxing championships: Army's Terri Stuart set to fight for gold

Corporal Terri Stuart will compete in the finals of the National Amateur Boxing Championships after a win in the semi-final in Nottingham.
Cpl Stuart beat Jasmine Poole by unanimous decision to book her place in the female under-63kg final which takes place in Derby on Saturday 19 April.
Earlier in the competition, the Army boxer beat Charlotte Emmett by unanimous decision in the quarter-finals.

It was disappointment for three other military boxers at the semi-final stage with defeats in Nottingham.
Private Kieran Cooper from the Army lost his under-92 kg bout by split decision to Kenneth Anigboro, while the Navy's Leading Physical Trainer Billie Matthews was beaten by a unanimous decision at under-66kg to Zaynah Casserly.
The RAF's Air Specialist Class 1 Carys Mainwaring also lost by a unanimous decision against Laylie Heath, and every boxer defeated at the semi-final stage gets a bronze medal from the event.
Earlier in the weekend at the quarter-final stage, the Army's Corporal Felicity Johnstone, Private Lewis Harvey, Private Dylan Swales, Signaller Toby Lawal and Craftsman Leon Moulds were all on the losing side.
Also losing at the quarter-final stage were the RAF's Corporal Jennifer Sabine and Sergeant Cameron Lewis.
