Royal Marine George Crotty represents GB Boxing at Boxam tournament

Royal Marine George Crotty has been in Spain representing GB Boxing at the Boxam tournament.
The former Navy Sportsman of the Year entered the competition at the semi-final stage of the light-heavyweight brackets.
However, a split decision loss to eventual winner Pablo Coy Bernal, from Spain, meant elimination and only a bronze medal from a tournament that Crotty would have been aiming for more from.

Crotty’s most recent success came at the Leszek Boxing Tournament in Poland in September – where he won a gold medal.
The Royal Marines boxer is still hoping that he will be able to represent Great Britain at the Olympics in Paris next summer.
