UKAF Women win in thrilling Lord's debut

The UK Armed Forces women's cricket team have won in their first ever match played at Lord's Cricket Ground.

Their fixture against the MCC was already historic and it got better for the military players with a victory.

Despite the hosts setting a target of 115-4, UKAF beat that score with just two overs remaining.

Louise Worsfold impressed with the ball as her two catches and one run-out led to three of the MCC wickets.

When the Forces team came to bat, the performances of Georgina Cant (32) and Melanie Vaggers (33) helped them on their way.

They slowly built up their score and by the time Vaggers hit the winning runs, their victory had been coming.
