The UK Armed Forces women's cricket team have been comfortably defeated by Southern Vipers in 40-over action at the Army Cricket Ground in Aldershot.

The Vipers won the toss and made a smart decision in choosing to bat with Aimee Diab's 84 runs inspiring them to a 203/5 score.

The RAF's Emilee Steele led the bowling attack for UKAF, grabbing two wickets.

In reply, UKAF failed to get going with the bat. Their skipper Connie Cant scored just one run from 11 balls while her sister Georgina top scored with 41.

All but two of the UKAF batters only managed single-digit scores as they were bowled out for just 107 – losing the match by 96 runs.
