It's one of the most high-octane thrill-seeking sports in the British military and riders showed us why at the Inter Services mountain biking cross country championships in Wales.
A picturesque course at One Giant Leap in Llangollen saw cyclists from all three services tackle tricky high-speed corners, difficult drops and tiring climbs on the course.
The winner of the men's race was the impressive Air Specialist Class 1 (Technician) Thomas Stegemen who stakes a claim right now to be considered as the best in his field in the UK Armed Forces.

The women's race saw the Army's Lieutenant Naomi Metcalfe, who travelled from Nepal for the event, come out on top with a classy display.
The Army won the overall mixed team trophy and a number of personal bests were smashed throughout the sunny day in the Welsh countryside.
