RAF Coningsby's Four-Goal Hero Seals Cup Semi-Final Win

RAF Coningsby's Jack Debnam stole the show with four goals as they beat RAF Marham 4-2 in the RAF Cup semi-final.

Debnam's four-goal salvo included a stunning outside-of-the-boot strike as well lobbing the goalkeeper from nearly 30 yards out.

Marham scored two late goals through Lewis Truman and Harry Morgan, but it is Debnam's Coningsby who will play RAF Honington in the final.

This was a repeat of last year's semi-final which saw Marham edge a nine-goal thriller but it was Coningsby who were the better side from the first minute this year.

Inside 10 minutes, they had the lead as Neil Speck's clever pass allowed Debnam to fire in his first of the day.

Marham had a couple of chances against stand-in Coningsby goalkeeper Mark McKay but couldn't find an equaliser.

Instead, the replacement shot-stopper grabbed himself an assist as the home team doubled their lead.

McKay's long kick was controlled brilliantly by Debnam who, in one motion, span and fired into the top corner with the outside of his boot.

It was an incredible goal that had both teams applauding on the sidelines on the stroke of half-time.

Marham needed a strong second-half performance to stand a chance of making the final but it got worse early on in the half.

Speck played it through for Debnam, who saw the goalkeeper of his line and lobbed him for a fantastic hat-trick goal from close to 30 yards.

It was already a dream day for the Coningsby playmaker but he still managed to get the icing on the cake with a fourth goal.

This strike came from a Marham defensive error as Jason Lythgoe's weak back pass allowed Debnam to sneak in and round the goalkeeper for a tap in.

At 4-0, Coningsby were final bound but Marham would make a late charge.

Truman came up from the back to power in a header and then moments later, Morgan's looping header beat McKay.

They had reduced the deficit to just two goals but Marham ran out of time with the final whistle.

Coningsby are through to the final and if they beat RAF Honington in Oxford, they will win a fifth RAF Cup in their history.
