Royal Military Academy Sandhurst win 2023 Army Minor Units cup final

Watch: Royal Military Academy Sandhurst win 2023 Army Minor Units cup final.

The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) football team have retained the Army Minor Units cup for another year.

It proved to be a comfortable night for the RMAS team as they defeated 29 Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Search Group Support Unit by a 4-1 margin.

A goal on the stroke of half time set the Sandhurst side on their way to victory.

A long-range free kick from Fenton Andrews looped over the flailing arms of the goalkeeper and into the top corner for a stunning opener.

The second half provided the rest of the goals â€“ Stu Lea pounced to make the most of some poor passing to double Sandhurst's lead.

Lea had a second soon after as Sandhurst put the game to bed with a third goal.

However, it wasn't all disappointment for 29 Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Search Group Support Unit as they did score in the final.

Fin Lloyd-Butler remained alert to head home after a piledriver from Dan Carr had clattered into the crossbar.

There would be no fairytale comeback however, as Andrews intercepted the ball before bursting clear and steering his shot into an empty net to make it 4-1.

In the end, a comfortable win for Sandhurst who lift the silverware for successive seasons.
