Southern Counties Cup: British Army football team lose to Essex despite Izzy Crooks' double

The British Army women's football team have suffered a 4-2 defeat to Essex in their second match of this season's Southern Counties Cup competition.
A two-goal performance from Izzy Crooks wasn't enough for the Army who were overpowered by a strong second-half showing from Essex.
It's a disappointment for head coach Craig Parker, who is staying positive despite a number of errors in the defeat.

He told the Army FA: "Tonight’s result stemmed from individual errors, which somewhat detracts from what was otherwise a strong team performance, with plenty of positives to take from the game.
"It's exciting to see how much the team have bought into what we are trying to implement. It's clear we are heading in the right direction."
The Army will play Middlesex in their final group game in February after beating Kent 3-0 in Aldershot last month.
