
UK Armed Forces hockey team cap off successful weekend with England Masters victory

A stunning 3-1 win over England Masters was the triumph of the weekend for an in-form UK Armed Forces hockey team at HMS Temeraire.
RAF pair Rebecca Douglas (2) and Jeorge Carr got on the scoresheet as UKAF came from behind to seal their victory.
England are preparing for a World Cup competition so the UKAF win is a real statement of intent for the team.

The contest was the final test in a trio of matches for UKAF which kicked off with a 3-1 win over Fareham.
Rae Andrews, May Percival and Carr did the damage for the military team while hours later on Saturday, they defeated the London Masters team.
This time, Hannah Kenyon, Sarah Bracey and two from Carr delivered a 4-1 win.

Team manager Staff Corporal Annabel Lamb praised the squad after their victories, saying: "The team grew throughout the games and started to make some great connections on the pitch.
"It's not always easy to flip from being opponents to teammates and the girls quickly adjusted.
"This prep is all looking very positive for hopefully our campaign to compete internationally in California in 2025."
