Brilliant Royal Navy sweep aside RAF to set up Inter Services title decider

Watch: Highlights from the 2025 Inter Services netball championships

The Royal Navy open netball team put in a near-perfect performance to defeat the RAF in Portsmouth.

The Navy have been considered the weaker of the three services in recent years but the 59-23 victory shakes up the rankings in forces netball.

It also means that the final match of the tournament pitting the Navy against the reigning champions from the British Army will be a winner-take-all title decider.

Navy attackers Lizzie Down and Sarah Ewels were the star players for the Navy, who were roared on by a home crowd in Portsmouth.

For the RAF, the match ends a disappointing tournament as they suffer back-to-back heavy defeats following their loss to the Army on Wednesday.
