Royal Marines narrowly beat US Marines in rugby match between services
The Royal Marines have narrowly beaten the US marines in a rugby match that came as part of the 2024 Virginia Gauntlet.
The competition, held on Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, sees the two services go head-to-head in a number of sporting events.
Over 250 Royal Marines have travelled to the east coast of the US to compete for the Virginia Gauntlet trophy.

As well as rugby, the personnel also compete in triathlon, basketball, shotgun, rugby 7s, boxing, football and golf.
