
Debut try: Army's Ella Donnelly makes scoring start to her England career against France

British Army rugby league star Captain Ella Donnelly has made a scoring start to her England career in their away victory over France.
Cpt Donnelly crossed the try line in the first half at Stade Ernest Wallon in Toulouse as England blew France away in a 38-4 win.
The soldier started her international debut as an interchange and will be hoping her starring role off the bench will have impressed selectors ahead of October's World Cup.

In January, BFBS Forces News reported that the Leeds Rhinos star was selected as part of a 31-strong England national performance squad and this performance boosts her chances of making the plane to Australia.
She could join two other Army stars at the World Cup as both Bethan Dainton and Jade Mullen are in contention for Wales.
