RAF win Tri Nations tournament with a convincing victory over Royal Australian Air Force

Watch: The RAF take on their Australian rivals from the RAAF in the final clash of the Tri-Nations tournament

The Royal Air Force have won the 2025 Tri-Nations Tournament after scoring two tries and two conversions against the Royal Australian Air Force at RAF Cranwell.

With bragging rights on the line, the two teams locked horns in the first half as the RAF dominated ball procession and keeping their Australian rivals well behind their 40-metre line.

But the RAAF had their defence well in order, frustrating their British counterparts when they were within touching distance of the tryline.

RAF left wing Corporal Adam Potter managed to get over at the seven-minute mark, but the referee disallowed what would've been the opening try of the game.

This game of cat and mouse continued up to half-time, and the scoreline remained level at 0-0.

At the beginning of the second half, the RAF finally found a way to break the deadlock with Air Specialist 1 Harrison Reay diving over with a bit of help from an offload from Cpl Adam Potter.

Corporal Elliot Kerry was on standby for the conversion, which he took successfully to push the RAF up to 6-0.

Minutes later, the RAF were on the charge again, with Air Specialist 1 Cam Lees bulldozing his way through the Australian defence to score another RAF try in quick succession.

Cpl Kerry added the extras, extending the RAF's lead to 12-0.

The RAAF needed to find a way to react to the RAF's quick successive tries but, with not much to pick between the two teams, neither team were able to find a breakthrough throughout the remainder of the second half.

At the full-time whistle, the RAF were confirmed to be the winners of the 2025 Tri-Service tournament after a 12-0 victory over the RAAF, and a 14-10 victory against the Royal New Zealand Air Force just days prior.

RAF scrum-half Cpl Kerry was awarded Player of the Match.
