Allianz Stadium, Franklin's Gardens, and Kingsholm locked in for 2027 Inter Service matches

The dates and venues for the 2027 Inter Service Championships have been officially announced, with all three fixtures returning some of rugby union's most-loved grounds next year.

The opening fixture of the tournament, the Navy v RAF, will be returning to cinch Stadium at Franklin's Gardens for the third-consecutive year, with the match scheduled for Sunday 18 April, 2027.

Since the fixture was relocated from Plymouth Albion's Brickfield's Stadium to the home of the Northampton Saints in 2025, the Royal Navy men have won in the last two years that they've played there.

The RAF women also matched that success – beating the Royal Navy women over the last two years that they've played in Northampton.

The infamous Army v Navy clash will once again be returning to Allianz Stadium, Twickenham, with the titanic clash set to take place on Saturday 1 May, 2027.

For the men's game, the championship has been decided at the home of English rugby for the last two years, with the Royal Navy winning back-to-back championship titles for the first time since 1974.

The women's Army v Navy game has been played at Allianz Stadium since 2022, bringing parity with the men's event.

It has since been a happy hunting ground for the British Army women, who have long been the dominant force in women's forces rugby.

In the final fixture of the Inter Service Championship the Army v RAF clash will return to Kingsholm Stadium, the home of Gloucester Rugby, on Saturday 15 May, 2027.

It is the same ground where the RAF women pulled off their historic win against the Army in 2019, the only year the team in red have not walked away with the Inter Service since the women's game has been contested.

The Army men won their last Inter Service title at Kingsholm Stadium in 2024, where they brilliantly beat the RAF to secure the title.

Release dates for tickets will be announced in due course.
