Former UKAF head coach Nick De-Long takes important role in future Rwandan football success

Former UK Armed Forces men's football head coach Nick De-Long has announced a new role with the Rwandan Football Association.
De-Long was the mastermind behind a shift in culture within UKAF football that resulted in four consecutive Kentish Cup wins.
After his departure, his coaching staff, Dyfan Pierce and Daryl White, continued his work as UKAF's rivalry with the French and Irish, in particular, intensified.

De-Long, who has worked at Portsmouth, Southampton, Bristol Rovers and Norwich City in important roles, will now take up the mantle as Rwanda's National Youth Development Officer.
Speaking on social media, De-Long said: "[I'm] happy to share I’ve started a new role overseeing the national football development of Rwanda and leading the national age group teams.
"You can only take this on with 100% support from your family and my boys have been amazing. My wife, well she said from the moment it came through: 'This is what you do. We are team De-Long'.
"I am looking forward to helping the young players and coaches and supporting the federation to be the best it can be. 1% a day."
