Army rugby union team comfortably beaten by Oxford University

The Army rugby union team have lost momentum ahead of the Inter Services after a disappointing loss to Oxford University.

After a development team beat Oxford Greyhounds, hopes were high for Captain Mal Roberts' team ahead of the tri-service tournament.

However, after a 20-0 loss in Aldershot, the head coach revealed there was plenty of work still to do for his team.

The Army's bad night started with an injury suffered by skipper Jamie Miller and, from there, the military side failed to keep Oxford out.

Two tries from Mark Backer and one from Hong Kong international Alex Post condemned the Army to a difficult defeat.
