British Army rugby sevens stars representing GB reach semi-finals of London 7s

The British Army's top rugby union sevens players reached the semi-final stage of the LIT7 London 7s event as Great Britain.

GB began their Group B phase with a 31-12 victory over Africa Lions, before defeating Jamaica 34-5.

A 17-17 draw with the USA was enough for the side to progress into the semi-finals of the competition, played in Wimbledon.

The side came unstuck against the eventual winners, the United Kingdom, and lost 38-7 in the first of the semis.

The UK then defeated Ireland 31-14 in the final.
