British Army women stride towards Inter Service with momentum after Brunel win
The British Army women's rugby union have recorded a stylish 43-5 win over Brunel University as preparations for the Inter Service championship continue to ramp up.
The annual fixture against the students provides the Army some valuable competitive action, with matches against the Royal Navy at the Allianz Stadium, Twickenham and the Royal Air Force at Kingsholm Stadium, Gloucester, coming up.

The match against Brunel started in try-scoring fashion for the Army as Bombardier Amy Reynolds released Staff Sergeant Sarah Batley with a quick offload and the experienced star ran in for the first converted score.
Shortly after, Brunel got their try with a powerful scrum but the military side continued to move towards victory when Corporal Millie Williams saw the space on the wing that Bombardier Charlotte Tweddle could race into and the Royal Artillery soldier did the rest with a well-taken try.
The red pressure built from there as attack after attack eventually led to Major Anneka Willis powering over the try line with Lance Corporal Courtney Pursglove converting from close range.
The gaps were now starting to appear in the Brunel defence and a smart interception and carry from the Army allowed Private Kira Fitzpatrick to dot down.
LCpl Pursglove got a typical try on the wing after a smart kick from Army captain Staff Sergeant Jade Mullen before Bdr Tweddle got her second of the day to finish off the score.
The Army will have one more fixture before their Inter Service campaign kicks off as they take on Wales under-20s in Newport on 26 April.
